Loaded Avocado Toast
I think you guys are going to love this avocado toast recipe. I make this at home at least once a week. This is not your average Avocado Toast. It is loaded with fresh herbs, tomatoes, Kalamata olives and more! Take a look at the recipe and let me know what you think!
Making Loaded Avocado Toast
Once your avocado is added to your bowl, roll a fresh lime on the cutting board, then half the lime and add to the avocado paste. At this point you can add a dash of salt or leave the avocado alone.
Next, take 2 reasonable sized slices of your olive bread. Drizzle a good quality Extra Virgin Olive Oil over the top of the bread. I like doing this in a diagonal. Think 7 o’clock to 1 o’clock. Put your olive bread in the oven on broil for 2-3 minutes. Be careful, your bread can burn quickly.
Once your toast is complete, start adding the avocado. I use a spoon.
Add the cherry tomatoes. I like to seed them first (stay tuned to the blog and I’ll show you how)
Next, add your Kalamata olives. I like to slice them diagonally. 2-3 slices per olive
Now it is time to add your fresh herbs. I like using mint, parsley, basil and green onion.
Now that you have sprinkled on your herbs, I like to finish by drizzling a little extra virgin olive oil to the toast!
How amazing is this? I hope you guys enjoy it as much as my family does. It is fresh, healthy and easy to make. Enjoy on the weekend for breakfast or wow your friends/family for brunch.
