You can serve poached eggs on a number of different dishes. I’ll show you how – follow along!  The key is to start with fresh eggs. I used fresh pasture raised eggs. Start by warming your water in a small to medium sauce pan. I like to get the water very hot but not to a boil. Do not add any salt. It could break up the egg white.

  1. The key is to start with fresh eggs. I used fresh pasture raised eggs. Start by warming your water in a small to medium sauce pan. I like to get the water very hot but not to a boil. Do not add any salt. It could break up the egg white.
  2.  Crack a fresh egg into a small saucer or bowl. This makes it easier to slide the egg into the water without breaking the yoke.
  3. Next, add a dash of Apple Cider Vinegar. You could use white vinegar as well.
  4. Use a spoon or fork. Create a clockwise circle, spinning the water to create a vortex or whirlpool in the water for the egg. It helps the egg white wrap around the yolk.
  5. Slowly drip the egg into the center of the whirlpool. Do this gently and add the egg as close to the spinning water as possible.
  6. Cook for 3-4 minutes or until the white is set.
  7. Lift the egg out with a slotted spoon and allow liquid to drain. Enjoy!
